The walnut panels are lined with scratch-resistant felt pads while the aluminum base has a silicone cushion to protect your devices when placing them in. The silicone feet and sturdy weight prevents the stand from moving and tipping over. The adjustability feature is great, especially if you want to accommodate several devices or even books. Per its specifications, I find that it accurately accommodates items ranging from 2cm (0.7in) up to 4cm (1.5in) in width. It fits my 2020 Macbook Air 13" perfectly.
