Neben dem Eigenverbrauch durch die kubanische Fhrung waren die Cohibas ausschlielich als reprsentative Geschenke fr Staatsoberhupter und Diplomaten bestimmt. 1982 wurde die Cohiba auf dem internationalen Markt prsentiert. Seit 2007gibt es die Lnea Maduro.
