Just something to read with your morning coffee. The tin is in OK condition; it shows wear, dark spots and tarnishing. There is a dent on the lid. The tin measures about 6 1 4" by 4 3 4" and 3 3 4" tall. The magazine is about 9" by 6 3 8". This same tin was featured in the book, "Rations of the German Wehrmacht in World War II" by Jim

These salt and pepper shakers are ok. According to the description of the product, you should be able to adjust the coarseness of the salt and pepper added to them, but that was not my case. The coarseness adjuster on the set I received is set to one position and there is no way of changing it. The grinders work well, but if you are looking to adjust the coarseness of your salt and/or pepper look for another grinder set.
