It probably spent a lot of time on a weapon, but it held up well. There is some darkening in the wood, which seems to be from the gas system exhausting and it even seems to have darkened the wood through to the top side. So it was on a well used 43. Would make a good replacement for many K or G43's, especially if you want to keep that original
