I like that it detects temperature and determines what fan speed it should be on to control temperature in the room. Its made a notable difference in my warmest room of the house this summer. Its nice and quiet. You can also adjust the blades up or down if you want to redirect the air flow much like in a vehicle. I liked this fan so much that I purchased a second one for another room. Works well, has 5 different speeds, several functions and setting. Has a remote control and a space on the fan that holds the remote. I was initially torn between this fan and another brand, but chose this one because it can be easily taken apart for cleaning. Also it is a very good value for the cost. It is not silent, but it is not loud at all. The fan is very sturdy and easy to assemble. The only assembly is a giant plastic nut on the bottom that holds the stand in place. IMO if you choose this fan, you will not be disappointed.
